The brewer will plug Bud Light from the U.S. and Budweiser in Canada, but it Will Not have Exemptions rights for Challenging seltzer from the States.
Anheuser-Busch InBev currently has sponsorship deals with four of America’s leading sports leagues following locking a last-minute pact with the National Hockey League.

However, Molson Coors had become the NHL’s sponsor because 2011. Molson’s U.S. subsidiary, MillerCoors, conducted the U.S. part of this bargain, with Coors Light because its hockey manufacturer.

AB InBev will take over the U.S. and Canadian sponsorships, using Bud Light from the countries and Budweiser as the direct manufacturer north of the boundary.

Financial terms weren’t disclosed. Molson Coors’ deal died last year, but AB InBev just recently finalized its bargain, or so the sponsorship takes effect today, based on a AB InBev spokesman.

AB InBev won’t have the alcohol class sponsorship itself, nevertheless.

However, in Canada, AB InBev’s brand new deal consists of flavored malt drinks. The Mailbox intends to utilize the deal to plug in Mike’s Hard sparkling water, which it controls Canada.

The deal comes as AB InBev is evolving its own strategy to sports sponsorships, which makes them about material and not as much about signage and fundamental consciousness.
